My experience with english this semester.

Hi everyone! Today  I’m going to talk about my experience learning English at university. I think that has  been a really good experience, because in the school, I didn’t practice a lot of my speaking, We just learned about grammar and sometimes we practiced listening but just a bit. And now, In the university I have practiced my speaking and my listening too and I think that I have improved a lot it, because when I speak with my classmates I training my hearing too.

I think that use the blog was a good idea, because we practice our writing, learn other words that we don’t know, and I believe that writing is more funny that just reading  a text. In addition, I think that If we write weekly we don’t forget words and we can improve our grammar, because like say the old adage "practice makes perfect”. Also, make comments in the my classmates’s  blogs had been a good idea because I can learn many thing of them.

Obviously that I need follow practicing because never is enough and I think that I never going to learn every words in English. For improve that I want to see movies in English, without subtitles or listening musin in English too or maybe I can going to parts where foreign going too, and speak with them.

Outside the class, I practice my English with my boyfriend, because he is learning English too, but He know more than me and He teach me some words. Also, I sometimes read papers in English. 

Our enviroment

Hi everybody!

Today, in my blog, I’m going to speak about our environment.

Well, Firstly, I think that we, like a country have a little information about like take care our environment, in fact, almost advertising in TV persuade us to buy cars for example, or that we buy and buy things that contaminating.

I think we like Chileans, don’t have  conscience about our environment  just a little part of the population really recycle and just In later years the government has been careful to build cycle lane, but just in some parts of the cities.

I haven’t incorporated a reclycled system in my house, we collect all the waste in the same bag and then we put it out for the waste lorry. I just sometimes use my bicycle, for example when I go to parts near of my house, like the supermarket or to my boyfriend’s house etc, but If I need go to other part more far, I take the bus or the tube, because It take me a less time. I know, I don’t take care the environment L and obviously that I am not involved in an eco-organisation because I don’t have time.

For this reason, I think that I could use more my bicycle, for go to the university for example, but I live far away and just in some parts there are cycle lanes and I think that the communes should built more road for bicycles and the government should teach more about like we can down our carbon footprint.

my 2014

Hi guys today I’m going to talk about this year, my first year in the university.

Well, this 2014 many things have happened, but the most important have been start my professional studies here at Universidad de Chile.

This year I have felt very comfortable, although sometime I have felt stressed , I think that is normal in the university and I think that we must be content and study and we can pass the subjects.

I’m very comfortable too because I have become good friends and they always support me if I have a problem or if I’m tired etc. In addition, I have liked a lot the career I really love it and I love think that in the future I could be a good dentist

This years too, My boyfriend and I had our third anniversary I think that this three years have been so nice and so beautiful, because we are so friends and we love each other so much.

But although that I think this have been a good year for me, I can deny that isn’t have been hard for me, because I feel that accustom to this rhythm of study( so fast) is difficult, and very much times I have been stressed.But then, when the weekend arrives I feel better I enjoy with my family or my boyfriend.

We are in October, it mean that a lot more still needs to be done like pass the subject and to continue learning thing about my career.

Now, I just need have good energys for finish the year and have good results. 

Facebook

Hi  guys today I didn’t chose this topic, it was randomized, but the topic is FACEBOOK.

Facebook is a social networking site created by Mark Zuckerberg and Eduardo Saverin founded by Chris Hughes and Dustin Moskovitz . Originally it was a site for students of Harvard University , but then this was opened  to anyone with an email account.

I think that facebook is a really good tool for the people, because here you can publish your especial moments and talk with your friends. But I think that we need to know use this, because are people that abuse to that social network, and publish all their lifes and when you see to that people, you don’t have anything that to speak because you know everything about him or her haha.

Today, just a little part of the poblation doesn’t have a Facebook, because If you don’t have facebook is like not having a life.

The main function of facebook is communicate, because here you can contact friends that you don’t  see  for some time, or  to know about someone checking her/him wall.

Personally, I use a lot of facebook, because we have a facebook group with my classmates and here we put information or we can do a question about the university, etc. and also I always check my  home page to see the my friend’s activities.

3D printers

Hi guys today I’m going to talk about some important and interesting news.

These news or history is about a patient of the teleton that has received a prosthesis that replace his hand, because he was born with the symdrome of Poland, that involved an absence of his hand.

The interesting of this history is that the prosthesis are made for a 3D printer a new technology that help in many ambits of the architecture, industrial design and in nowdays in health but the point most important is that’s very cheap for the same reason this printer  is being able to make whatever element that you want.

For me is important because the 3D printers are machines that can make differents things that we can do in the computer. For us like future dentist it is a big technological advancement because we can print  for example tooth of patient because this machine can adapt each piece made to the exact characteristics of each patient.and work in this for finally to have a good result in the oral cavity without mistakes.

I think that the 3D printers or its objects made shouldn’t have controversial opinions because don’t  have contraindications and the materials that use and just a tipe of plastic.

In the case of dental pieces for the moment it just serves to work out the oral cavity, but maybe in the future the printers could make implants.

My future job :)

Hi guys! Today I’m going to write to my future job. Well I’m studying odontology and I hope to work  in this profession because I really love my career and I think that I couldn’t work in other things. I say that because I have worked in falabella in a call center and after to these experiences I love more my future profession. I hated to work in an office doing something that I don’t like, something so boring without another purposes that earn money.

I would like to work first in an hospital or in a “cesfam” because the majority part of the poblation going to this centers of health and is that people that need more help and education. While I working in this centers I hope to doing and investigation and publish my results, like our teachers and maybe I could travel for that or come to a seminar of odontology.

After to work few years in an institution  I would like to study another major, but I don’t know what, because I Know a little part of everyone and I don’t have experience in anyone, so I need more time to decide what I like. But the idea is learn a specialty and put my own dental clinical and to be my own boss, and work when I want. 

My favourite artist

Hi guys! Today I’m going to talk about my favourite artist, or my favourite singer. She is BEYONCE. She is an American songwriter and actress. Born and raised in Houston, Texas, she appeared in various singing and dancing competitions as a child and came to fame in the late 1990s as the lead singer of the R & B group Destiny's Child. When the group broke up in 2003, she realeased her first álbum as vocal soloist. The result was highly successful, and she has recorded 4 albums. 

I started to listen to Beyonce’s songs in 2009, because one day I heard in the radio one of these, and I liked the song and I liked the tone of her voice. After that, I said to my friend that I was listened this song, he knew her and send me all her albums and in this moment I didn’t stop to listen Beyonce.

I like Beyonce because I really love her voices, and the form that she sing, because it is wonderful. She is a excellent dancer and she does the production of her videos or sings.She is a really complete woman.

Well, I like all her albums, but my prefer are “4” and “beyonce”(her last album). I like that because it has sing that have relation with female emancipation an important topic in this time. But my really favourite sing is “run the world”.

A great concert :)

Hi guys, today  I’m going to talk about a beautiful concert that I went to. It was THE POP FESTIVAL. The concert was in 2011, in “estadio nacional” of Santiago, Chile.

Obviously In this concert were a lot of artists, like “Train”, or “Zaiggy Marley”  because It was “the pop festival”, but that day I really wanted to see “Shakira” and “Francisca Valenzuela”. I really love these two singers, I know all their songs and I love their voices.

Francisca Valenzuela is a Chilean singer-songwriter and her style of music is pop-rock. She started to be known in 2006 with her first disc “Muerdete la lengua”. I like Francisca Valenzuela because her songs speak about to the role of the women in the society, the love and lovelessness.

But Shakira was the the most  important in the concert, she is a Colombian singer-songwriter too, but she is a model, actress, producer etc. Is a really complete woman and I really love all her songs, particularly her old songs.

In the concert been a good atmosphere, everybody was waiting Shakira and as long as we was listening to the others artists in calm, but when Shakira appeared everybody went crazy and they cried and shouted hahaha.

I enjoyed so much this concert because I knew all songs and I really could sing everything. I had a great time with my friends, we shared and laughed a lot because we has been like 12 hours in the stadium!

Well, If I wanted to go to an a concert again, I would see Shakira and Francisca Valenzuela again. 

CARTOONS! :)

Well, today I’m going to talk about cartoons. Nowdays, I don’t see so much cartoons, because I don’t have time and I am not so amused to see that , but sometimes I see The Simpsons or “hora de aventura” with my little cousins.

When I was small, I always saw HEY ARNOLD because I thought that it was so funny and the characters were funny to. The principal character were Arnold, a smart boy that lived with his grandparents and his principal characteristic is that he had a head with form of ball. He always went out to play with his friends in the street or other site near of his house. Every happened in Hillwood city, an imaginary city in United States.

Then, when I grew up a little, a start to see “los padrinos magicos”, because I really like it, It made me laugh and maybe It identified myself because I’m only child too, like the principal character in the serie and I wanted have a fairy oddparents too hahaha.

Well I think the cartoons aren’t just for child, because in the majority of that series the characters have normal problems or do funny things that can like to anyone and It always can be a distraction because always makes us laugh.

Hi guys, today  I‘m going to talk abou the country that I want to visit

I want to visit India, because I Love its architecture and its culture. I really want to visit the TAJ MAHAL because one day in the school, my teacher of arts, tell us about this great mausoleum and since thar day I decided to find out more about the location.

I started to investigate about that, like Who constructed this building, why it was constructed and this tipe of thing. Well, I found that the builiding have a romantic history, because a powerful  Emperor of India constructed that wonderfull mausoleum because one or his favorite wife died and he wanted to give that like a special offering.

Well, for everything that I said before, I want to go India and obviously visit the Taj Mahal, in Agra, but If I can I want to visit all India. I think that is a great country in all areas, like education. En united Stated for example, 38% of its medical are Hindues.
